This website is intended primarily to serve as a resource to assist new visitors that are looking for just about anything RV related in the the Rio Grande Valley.
I have attempted to draw on my own experience as a newcomer about 5 years ago to provide a quick and easy to use system for locating accomodations and resources in the region. A short description of the major cities is also provided for quick reference.
Since most RV'rs can relate to road maps, I have keyed the primary search tool to a general Valley map that will allow users to click on individual cities to locate resources in each area.
Alternately, you can also select locations from a table of cities or use a pretty good site based search engine to locate parks or resources by name or partial name.
For new users, simply put your mouse over the area of interest below Menu Title labeled:

in top left side of your screen above to open all of the various menu features, then select the one you want.
The Alternate Site Map link will also display a static selection menu for those that don't like, or don't trust, Java Scripts.
I have put a lot of emphasis on the many RV and Mobile Home parks in the valley and have attempted to identify the more desireable features that each park offers.
Short term visitors will also find information on all the local Wal-Mart stores in the valley on a city-by-city basis.
I am also in the process of linking the name of each park, on individual city RV & MH park pages, to the Mapquest database which will allow users to narrow down park locations in each city.
I think this feature will be of benifit to new and old residents alike when we start Park-Hopping in the winter months looking for some of the great entertainment at various parks.
Unfortunately, it is not always possible to link park names since some parks have vague address locations and there are some funny limitations in the Mapquest database. As I have time, I will attempt to provide general locations for missing links where possible.
I automatically see every post
on the RGV Forum and this is an excellent method to suggest other features & ideas that will improve the usefullness of the site.
Please note that this is not a commercial site. I created it as a free RV resource for everyone and I will continue to maintain it as long as the community interest continues.
